G8 YOUTH SUMMIT COMMUNIQUE
PROJECT AIM
This film was made with young participants of
the G8 Youth Summit held in The Lough Erne
Resort in May 2013, 4 weeks before the main
G8 Summit at the same venue. Organised by
The Fermanagh Trust, the Youth Summit brought
together 120 young people across the island of
Ireland. Over 2 days the participants produced
a communique for the main G8 leaders in which
they presented the main issues and priorities
felt to be the most urgent and important facing
the world today. The communique was made
into this film with participants, and distributed
to the G8 Leaders through their administrations.

G8 SUPPLEMENT
PROJECT AIM
This supplement was produced for insertion
into local newspapers to coincide with the 2013
G8 Summit held in Fermanagh. The aim of the
supplement was to highlight important local and
global issues that DMW felt were the most
important. The 2 key issues explored were food security and climate change. Writers, both local and national, were commissioned to author
articles on these themes. 17,000 copies were
produced and distributed across Fermanagh.
